For those who know my work, this project won't come as a surprise.
I have been exploring ways to interact with my music. From all my past projects of working with giant teams to make giant big exhibitions with mocap, dance, theatre, and visual art - I've decided I'd like to work on my own. Problem is, I've never had to do much programming beyond altering things and hacking patches together. So while I go about doing my next musical project, I'll document my process :)
So, I'll be making a series of pieces that take videogame form! These come from wanting to convey a sense of musician to players, without the 10,000 hours practice. You can hear more about my process and thoughts in this interview.
